Career

My shop is now located in Maysville, NC and has been in business since 1984. I started out learning on an OJT (on the job training) program in 1984 at the RTE shop in Quantico, Virginia. At that time I developed my love and passion for the 1911 platform and continue to develop better ways and processes to make it a more accurate pistol.

While I specialize in 1911’s, I also have worked on a variety of other handguns throughout my career. I have been to the Smith & Wesson Academy for both revolvers and autos. H&K for the P7 / MP5 family of weapons. Remington Arms for the 870 police and M700 family of rifles and shotguns. Barrett firearms for the M107 and their bolt guns as well. I am also certified by Glock. I have specifically built 1911’s for a variety of competition to include Bullseye, IDPA, IPSC and USPSA. I barreled and tuned the trigger in the pistol that Brian Zins won his 11th NRA Outdoor Championship with, and built the trigger in the pistol he shot to win his 12th Championship.

I consider all your needs when building your new hand gun. While I do have a price list, I find it a requirement to speak with every customer. I need to know what your thoughts are and what you’re looking for in your new pistol. I am a one man shop. That way I know exactly what has been done, how it was done and why it was done. If you ever have a problem with one of my pistols all you need to do it pick up the phone and call me. I will do everything within my power to make things right in YOUR eyes so that you’ll be 100% happy with everything that has been done.

KC’s Kustom Creations, LLC now has a new line of trigger components SPECIFICALLY for a roll feel trigger in a 1911. The hook geometry on the hammer has been completely re-engineered to a new proprietary hook design. And the shape of the new hammer is VERY distinctive. You’ll know when you see the “Battleaxe” hammer in someone’s pistol. The sear is a Chuck Warner TR (true radius) with another proprietary change that is being done by Chuck himself. If you’re looking for a roll trigger for your 1911 you have found the place. Check out the Battleaxe and “Roll into the X ring!”

The trigger is the key to someone being able to shoot their pistol not only to the guns potential but to their own personal potential as well. After all the years I have been building guns I have learned that the trigger is the bridge between the gun and the shooter. This is something that I take a great deal of pride in. A gun that holds X ring at 100 yards is worthless if the trigger feels like junk. But if the trigger is exactly what that person wants then they will be able to shoot their gun to its potential, as well as their own potential. That is the reason the roll trigger kit was created to help give the individual what they need and want in a trigger so they can shoot better. If you’re not looking for a roll trigger I can build what you’re looking for so that you can excel in your shooting career.

You are on a large (or larger) screen. Foundation 6 got lazy and did away with the extra-large sizes, but still left the breakpoint at the high end of large, meaning that this disappears if you leave it at .show-for-large-only...

Well, for the .show classes, anyway. The .hide-for-large doesn't have that limit
